the flared jean is making it's triumphant return and we couldn't be more elated. the flare has been on our radar since day one; literally cake's first look on the blog was a flared jean {see look here*} we love the easy laid back vibe the flare/wide leg jean provides. because of the style & cut of the pant it requires you to wear a heel and we looooove the long leg look you achieve when these jeans are styled just right. it means that all a girl needs is an easy breezy top and BHAM instant style! we collected a few of our favorite past looks and can't wait to bring you more of the flared style this summer because we both just bought new pairs of jeans :)

alright readers here's valley's travel look. as you can see right off the bat valley needed to layer up & be prepared for anything coming her way! it's always difficult to decided if the plane will be hot or cold or what the temperature will be like at your destination vs what the temperature was like at your departing city . . . . the struggle is real folks! thus the need for a nice classic jean jacket & your favorite scarf {added bonus with your favorite scarf it makes a great pillow on your flight, if needed!} and any seasoned travel can't leave home with out the prefect bag & this bucket bag is just the ticket.  big enough to hold everything, small enough to shove under the seat in front of you all the while still looking chic . . .  what more could you want :)

last week when valley had to fly back to indiana we decided we'd take a few quick pictures to share our relaxed travel style. with cake living 90 minutes away from the nearest airport we both had to plan ahead for car & airport travel {valley got the short end of the stick and had to do both} we both gravitated towards dressing in neutrals & hues of both; which makes sense since neutrals give you the easy of going with anything & blues added a great pop of color with out feeling flashy or trendy. cake's look is perfect for the car because the look won't show any wrinkles & with out the need for lots of layers to accommodate changing temps of the airport vs. airplane vs. destination temperature differences the bulk-less look made sitting in a car very comfy; which is clutch {pun intended.}

TGIF guys!!!! it's been a while but we're finally getting a post up & running!!! awe-sh-ume! and next week we'll finally be reunited and can take another round of outfit posts. please contain your excitement. today we're sharing valley's late winter & early spring work style. the transitional weather always makes getting ready for the day tough. some mornings it's cold and by mid afternoon the sun is out and the temperatures have risen by 20 degrees . . . . ugh . . . . stupid weather! the one word solution to this problem - LAYERS! layers add great depth to a look and allow you to easily adjust your look through out the day to reflect the any and every temperature shift. however, the weather finally seems to have evened out and the warm weather has officially rolled in!!!!
